WORD LIST

  1. agenda-list or plan Of things to be done in the future;listed items to be taken up at a meeting. I try to stay organized by keeping an agenda with my homework assignments written down.
  2. agile- quick and easy movement or thought;resourceful. Athletes seem to be very agile.
  3. alienate-to make someone unfriendly, withdrawn, or indifferent. The girl felt alienated at her new school. 
  4. altercation-a heated or angry argument; a noisy quarrel. The two boys got into an altercation over a bag of chips.
  5. amiable- generally pleasant, friendly, and nice to be around. My mom is more amicable when we're around acquaintances.  
  6. amorous-suggestion of love, lovemaking, or sexual desire. The women was insulted by the man's amorous actions.
  7. animated-filled with love and spirit; active. Children are generally the most animated age group.
  8. equanimity-calmness or evenness of mind or spirit; even-temperedness. The women did yoga hoping it would help her equanimity.
  9. inalienable-that which cannot be taken away or transferred to someone else. His humor was inalienable.
  10. inanimate-A possessing neither life nor spirit; not alive. Although the watch was inanimate, it ment a lot to the boy because of its significants. 
  11. magnanimous-showing a kind of nobleness of mind and spirit; high-minded: free form pettiness. The people loved the king because of his magnanimous actions.
  12. reactionary-A person characterized by ideas suggesting a desire to move backward, especially in matters related to politics; unpregressive. The senator had an reactionary view on society,
